Use and scrap of electric hoist wire rope
The wire rope is the main load-bearing part of the electric hoist. The use and scrap standards of the wire rope are as follows:
1. To avoid excessive wear of the wire rope, always keep the wire rope in a good lubrication state.
2. When checking regularly, pay attention to the fixing condition of the end of the wire rope, and there should be no looseness.
3. When pulling out the wire rope from the drum or wire rope roll, measures should be taken to prevent the wire rope from looping, kinking, bending or sticking to debris.
4. According to the provisions of GB/T5972-1986 Wire Rope Inspection and Scrap Practical Code for Lifting Machinery, the wire rope should be scrapped if one of the following situations occurs:
(1) If the broken wires are close together to form a local aggregation, the wire rope should be scrapped.
(2) If the whole strand is broken, the wire rope should be scrapped.
(3) When the outer wire rope wears to 40% of its diameter, the wire rope should be scrapped.
(4) When the diameter of the wire rope is reduced by 7% or more from the nominal diameter, even if no broken wires are found, the wire rope shall be scrapped.
(5) The corrosion of the external steel wire can be observed with the naked eye. When there are deep pits on the surface and the steel wire is quite loose, it should be scrapped.
(6) The severely kinked wire rope squeezed out of the cage-like distortion rope strands should be scrapped immediately.
(7) Bending is the angular deformation of the wire rope caused by the external influence, and the deformed wire rope should be scrapped immediately.
