Common classification and characteristics of general gantry cranes
The general gantry crane is a kind of equipment evolved from the bridge crane. It is usually used outdoors to handle the loading and unloading operations of cargo yards, stock yards, and bulk cargo. Its structure is a metal gantry type and is carried by two legs. The main structure is characterized by high utilization rate, large operating range, and strong applicability.
There are two general gantry cranes:
1. Full gantry crane: the main beam has no overhang, and the trolley runs within the main span;
2. Half portal crane: The outrigger has a height difference, which can be determined according to the civil construction requirements of the site.
according to the main beam form can also be divided into:
1. Single girder gantry crane: simple structure, easy installation, slightly weaker overall rigidity and double girder, suitable for occasions with large lateral space.
2. Double girder gantry crane: strong carrying capacity, large span, strong stability, and high cost compared with single girder.
The classification of general gantry cranes is usually the above types, in addition to some other types, so I won’t introduce them here.
