Should the electric chain hoist use a frequency converter?
There have always been different opinions on the use of chain electric hoist inverters. Today, the author expresses my own opinions and personal opinions, which are for reference only. The commonly used so-called electric hoist generally uses a conical motor, because the motor is specially designed for lifting equipment, it has the characteristics of simple structure, high reliability, and low failure rate. Generally, it is not suitable to use the inverter, because all inverters need acceleration time when starting, the voltage rises slowly during acceleration, and the cone rotor cannot be shifted to release the brake in an instant, which will easily cause inverter overload protection.
The so-called asynchronous electromagnetic brake motor can use a frequency converter, but the brake electromagnetic part is tapped with the frequency converter output, and it is synchronized with the frequency converter when it starts and stops.
Therefore, based on the above description, we believe that the choice of the motor directly determines the use of the inverter.
