
Common faults of Jib cranes
The selection of the jib crane wire rope is related to its service life, structural deformation, cracking and accidental damage. Therefore, it is necessary to comply with the following standards. If the rope walks without a guide block, perhaps without a higher height guide block, the rope should not rotate. Suppose the rope walks under the guiding component or walks multiple times at a smaller height under the guiding component. Long-term use of wire rope will wear and crack. Therefore, the selection of steel wire ropes must have high wear resistance and wear resistance. In addition to the selection of wear-resistant steel wire ropes, we must also pay attention to the details of its use. Usually, it needs to be protected and inspected to ensure that its safety functions are good.
The processing, installation and adjustment of new parts of the jib crane directly affect its rapid wear rate. The conflict surface of the jib crane is rough, the touch area of the cooperation surface is small, and the surface pressure is uneven. During the operation of the machine, the uneven parts on the surface of the parts conflict with each other, and the worn metal fragments continue to participate in the conflict as abrasives, and then accelerate the wear of the parts. Therefore, the running-in period simply causes the wear of the parts (especially the mounting surface), and the wear rate is fast. In this case, overloading can cause component damage and premature failure.
The jib crane is loose; newly processed and assembled parts. There are errors in geometry and size fitting. In the early stage of use, due to the impact of alternating loads such as impact and oscillation, heat generation, deformation and other factors, plus excessive wear, it is easy to loosen the original fixings.
The reason for the poor smoothness of the jib crane is the small cooperation gap between the new installation parts, but it is difficult to ensure the uniformity of the cooperation gap due to installation and other reasons. Smooth oil is not easy to form a uniform oil film on the surface of the conflict to prevent wear. This will reduce the smoothing efficiency and cause abnormal wear in the early stage. In severe cases, scratches or bites may appear on the precisely matched conflicting surface, which then leads to malfunctions.
The leakage of the jib crane is caused by loose parts, oscillations and heat generation of the machine. The leakage occurs at the joint of the sealing surface of the machine and the pipeline. In the installation and debugging process, such as casting, machining, etc., it is difficult to find shortcomings, but in the operation process, due to vibration and impact, these shortcomings may be exposed as oil (water) leakage. Therefore, leakage is likely to occur during the running-in process.
The operating errors of jib cranes are mainly due to the lack of understanding of the structure and functions of the machine, especially for new operators who simply cause malfunctions and even mechanical accidents due to operating errors.
